So my final interview for this Korea trip was with Canadian singer Junny, who I happened to meet earlier this year at his Chicago show while he was on tour. I will definitely say this was the most comfortable I’ve been on camera, and I think I finally feel somewhat satisfied with the end result. We did the interview to promote his latest single, “Invitation”, which is really good, but we also discussed way more: AI in music, songwriting for SM groups, being a foreigner in Korean entertainment, etc. I loved how transparent and laidback he was throughout our conversation, and I think it’s definitely a must watch. My personal favorite part was when we started discussing basketball, hint hint. I also got him to film a little tiktok with me after the fact, which I think the fans definitely loved. Taking notes for next time!
In case you missed it, I also did an interview with TRI.BE members Hyunbin and Kelly before their US tour, so check it out on my YouTube channel as well. I will say completing 3 on camera interviews before leaving Seoul feels like a good start to this new transition. I’m still figuring out what I want my career to look like exactly, but now that I’m back in the States for a bit, I’ll have some more time to figure it out.
I’m very grateful to my team for helping me with edits, thumbnails, etc. Balling on a budget isn’t always easy, but I’m proud of what I’ve been able to do in such a short period of time. I have a few people I think of whose career as hosts seem enticing to me, and before Season 2 of this little project, I’m definitely going to upgrade in more ways than one. So stay tuned, and let me know what you think of this one!
